Architecting the American Soccer Club of New York

“Do you want to sell sugared water for the rest of your life,

or do you want to come with me and change the world.”

In 1983, 27-year-old Steve Jobs convinced Pepsi CEO John Sculley to join his fledgling Apple Computer, Inc. with this famous line. John Sculley’s arrival at Apple was a catalyst for attracting institutional capital to the young company, funded the introduction and evolution of the industry-redefining Macintosh computer and laid the foundation for Apple to evolve into the world’s leading technology and consumer electronics company – making products that are “Insanely Great”.

BQE Soccer Partners is currently focused on our nearly-identical strategic initiative – attracting the equivalent of John Sculley to join us in capitalizing a revolution in the American Soccer landscape.

The American Pro Sports franchise model – based upon scarcity value – is being misapplied to the landscape of the global sport of soccer in the U.S. Enterprise value in the American pro soccer landscape is not to be found behind the velvet rope of exclusive membership in any current or next league or association – typically an organization where the league controls the clubs, the member clubs do not own / control the league.

Rather intrinsic value is to be found in well-located, designed and developed infrastructure – a quality training facility and a soccer-specific stadium anchored to, and highly accessible by the community each club serves.

All that is to say that, if you agree with the summary statement that follows, BQE stands ready to discuss a common interest and approach to unlocking that value -

Value in any Pro-Soccer OpCo is largely transient and of the moment

Value in a Soccer-specific PropCo is intrinsic and persistent
